Alexa Can Now Adjust Your Nest • Mirror Daily

Alexa can now adjust your Nest, read your books and control your music.

(Mirror Daily, United States) – Technology keeps getting better and better, and people are starting to become lazier by the invention. Fortunately, Amazon predicted human commodity so Alexa can now adjust your Nest thermostat.

Even though the Nest thermostats encountered a few glitches in the past, they are now receiving good praises from users. And the developers are not stopping to admire their smart thermostat and leave it be. They are constantly looking for new ways to improve its functions and make the life of tech lovers easier than it already is.

Until now, if you wanted to control the temperature inside your house you only had to access the app on your smartphone. While getting in the car and heading back home, you would send a message to your thermostat to start heating or cooling the house.

And if you were already there, but you considered a slight change in temperature was due, then you were not obligated to get up and manually set the device. We’re not in the 50’s anymore, an app on your phone can regulate temperature, start the coffee maker and even the toaster.

But Amazon’s Alexa, the artificial intelligence that can read your books for you and interact better than Microsoft could ever wish Cortana would, can now offer her assistance via a simple shout. You don’t even have to reach for the phone and access the app.

All you have to do is ask the AI developed by Amazon to turn the heat up or down a notch. Just imagine how helpful the feature will be in the summer when you’re too hot to even think about moving and trying to get the air conditioning to kick in.

Or in the winter when you get up in the morning, and you’re too cold to want to leave the comfort and warmth of your bed, you could just ask Alexa to turn up the heat while you snooze for an extra couple of minutes.

Alexa can now adjust your Nest thermostat as a part of the “Amazon Dot and Tap” project that was launched earlier this March. As is the case of the Echo, the new Amazon devices will control the Nest, too.

In order to make Alexa a central part of a home, Amazon has partnered up with a number of companies. The company hopes that soon a large portion of the high tech homes will be interconnected, and users can ask Alexa for different things.

It’s like having your own Jarvis.
