Australian Researchers Expose Data Tinkering by Climate Scientists • Mirror Daily

(Mirror Daily, United States) – A team of Australian scientists found that sea level data has been manipulated to fit the climate change narrative by climate scientists at one of the world’s most prominent global warming gatekeepers, the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL).

The raw data for three tide gauges – Karachi, Aden, and Mumbai – have been altered to exaggerate sea level rise in those areas. For instance, a sea level rise of 1.21 mm per year in Aden (Yemen)  jumped to 3.02 mm per year between 1880 and 1969 in PSMSL’s records

The data tampering went unnoticed at NOAA, which used the adjusted data to further raise concerns over global warming.

The Australian team – Clifford Ollier and Dr. Albert Parker – blew the whistle on the inaccuracies. In an article dubbed Is the Sea Level Stable at Aden, Yemen?, the pair examined the fallacies and misalignments made by PSMSL’s data-adjusters.

Sea Level Data Has Been Tampered With

Even when sea levels had been relatively stable, the alarmist scientists made the data look like a major and quick sea level rise had occurred. One of the most popular methods to skew raw data was misalignment and cherry-picking.

Because sea level data is comprised of multiple data sets taken from different locations, with different tools, and over multiple periods of times (in some cases, large gaps occurred), it needs to first be aligned to see a trend. Yet PSMSL scientists misaligned or realigned the data and cobbled the data sets together to obtain a rising trend.

The new research describes the group’s scientific methods as “suspicious” and “highly questionable”. Plus, there is no scientific explanation for the recently found tweaks.

The Australian research paper shows that there have been very little changes in the sea level in the three tide gauges, despite what the PSMSL’s adjusted data suggests.
