Hear the Old Gods whispers in the latest expansion pack that Blizzard is offering.

(Mirror Daily, United States) – The popular cards game for mobile devices, Hearthstone is hearing old gods whispers in its latest expansion pack. Today, Blizzard announced that there will be an additional pack of 134 cards. And the only thing better than a new cards package is a pack that revolves around the work of H.P. Lovecraft.

The Warcraft mobile spinoff gathered a considerable amount of fans over the years, and Blizzard is trying to keep them happy and playing. Since WoW is not fairing as well as it used to, the gaming company is concentrating on the mobile app market which is fruitful but ever demanding.

And since cameo appearances are starting to be in fashion (just look at how great Mortal Kombat X is fairing after introducing the DLCs that brought Xenomorph, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface in the fighting arena), Blizzard decided to spice things up in Hearthstone with a Lovecraft theme.

And since you cannot mention Lovecraft without Cthulhu, it’s pretty obvious that the main card character is named C’Thun and is represented as a Kraken with Sauron’s eye on top of its head and some of its tentacles.

Obviously, C’Thun is “the card” with a 10 score for mana, 6 for health and 6 for attack. Its signature feature is the “Battlecry” which not only damages his opponent but deals the same amount of harm as the base attack of the enemy, which is split evenly among the other foes in his proximity.

But C’Thun is not alone. The Old God has a team of cultists that could prove to be valuable team members. “The Beckoner of Evil”, who is a health minion that improves the god’s health and attack with +2 whenever he is placed on the board. The Beckoner has a 3 health/2 attack. Also, there is the “Twilight Elder” who is a minion with 4 health/ 3 attack that offers C’Thun +1 health and attack at the end of the player’s turn.

The Old Gods has also “Polluted Hoarder”, “Corrupted Healbot” and “Validated Doomsayer” as its cultists. The Hoarder has 2 health/4 attack, and the “Deathrattle” features lets you draw another card, the Healbot with a 6 health/6 attack score restores the health of the enemy’s hero with 8 points and the Doomsayer comes with 7 health and 0 attacks, but you can set it to 7 once your turn starts.

With the new package of cards that are now available, Hearthstone is hearing old gods whispers, and they sound like a Lovecraft tale.
