A Texas pregnant teacher was recently arrested for having sexual relations with a 15-year-old student.
Recently, the Roanoke Police Department declared that a 28-year-old seventh-grade English teacher and tennis coach at John M. Tidwell Middle School had been arrested for having sex with one of her students, who was 15 year of age at that time. The pregnant teacher’s affidavit reveals that she was 8-months pregnant at the time she engaged in sexual relations with her student.
Katherine Ruth Harper of Roanoke, Texas was recently taken into custody, but released soon after she paid her $15,000 bond. Harper was accused of having an improper relationship with one of her students, a 15-year-old boy, whose identity has not been revealed.
According to the woman’s affidavit, the events that led to the disturbing discovery started to unfold during late December 2016, when an unknown individual posted a short message on the school’s website to inform the board about the improper relationship between Harper and one of her students. The anonymous person wrote in the message that he caught the two having relations in one of the classrooms.
Naturally, the Northwest Independent School District relayed the information to the law enforcement authorities which resulted in the arrest of Harper, who was 8-months pregnant at that time. The 15-year-old student was questioned by the police and by the principal of Byron Nelson High School.
Breaking into tears, the 15-year-old student admitted that he had a torrid affair with the pregnant teacher and that they had sex at least a couple of times. When asked about the affair, the 15-year-old student said it started with a couple of innocent, yet flirtatious messages between them during classes.
Upon reviewing the teen’s phone, the authorities discovered that Harper and her victim talked about 76 times from June to July. Moreover, the teenager admitted that things started to change soon after the pregnant teacher invited him over to her Fort Worth home.
After their first sexual encounter at the teacher’s house, they’ve continued seeing each other at the teen’s house. Further investigations revealed that the 2-month-long conversation between the 15-year-old and the pregnant teacher was not entirely innocent. The authorities revealed that apart from messages which contained sexual innuendo, Harper also sent the boy a couple of nude selfies.
It would appear that the teen first met the pregnant teacher during the tennis classes Harper taught at the John M. Tidwell Middle School. For having improper relations with one of her students, Harper was suspended from teaching. The authorities are now trying to determine if Harper’s child belongs to the 15-year-old boy.
