The open beta will last until November 29th
(Mirror Daily, United States) – The wait is nearly over, and ‘Rainbow Six: Siege’ is now in open beta, which means that the anticipated video game is in its last stretch. Testing is almost over, and the closed beta a while back has reportedly resulted in a few updates and new content with the upcoming version of the game.
‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege’ has been considered one of the best-looking shooters to be released this year, aimed at competitive gameplay. It’s one of the many contenders out there, that some believe will compete with others in highly-esteemed positions such as ‘CounterStrike: Global Offensive’ or ‘Call of Duty’. It has an exciting gameplay that could potentially attract many players to the fold.
The game’s developer, Ubisoft, has announced that now the game is in open beta, available for everyone to install and give it a go. Be it PC, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4, ‘Rainbow Six: Siege’ is available for play and testing to see if it’s to your liking. The open beta starts today, November 25th, and will end on November 29th, just a couple of days before the official launch.
This is Ubisoft’s last opportunity to test out potential problems, as well as their servers’ stability against the load of players willing to battle it out online. According to the company, they can already estimate the number of gamers interested and who will be there for the official launch. Thus, they have already adjusted and made sure the appropriate number of servers will remain open. However, one last trial never hurt anyone.
According to Ubisoft’s website, this is the “last stability check” before the game launches on December 1st, and players will have a few improvements to test out. ‘Rainbow Six: Siege Open Beta’ will bring 14 new operators + 5 reserves, 3 new maps, and 3 new game modes. Players who have participated in the closed beta did have a bit of a head start, even for the open beta, available one day before.
However, now, it’s open for anyone to try, no matter the chosen platform. On Xbox One though, reportedly, only Xbox Live subscribers will have it available. For the PlayStation 4, there is no need for an active PlayStation Plus subscription in order to enjoy the first-person-shooter gamer.
For those interested in downloading the game, they will need 7.51GB of space for the PC, 7.85GB for PS4, or 8.51GB for the Xbox One.
‘Rainbow Six: Siege’ will officially launch on December 1st, 2015, at the price of $60.
