Sony’s original PS game console
This Wednesday, Sony celebrated Play Station’s 20th anniversary with massive discounts for some of their most popular games. According to the official announcement of the company, the discount period will last from September 9 until September 14, so players should hurry to their local stores, Sony concluded.
It’s been 20 years since Sony first launched their original Play Station game. The company marked the event with the launching of a special Original Play Station version. The game was described in a recent video letting younger generations of players know how things used to be done back in 1995.
The video opens with the presenter introducing people to the original Play Station box. He then opens it and lets viewers see the grey game console that we have all grown accustomed to in our childhood. The console is accompanied by a similarly vintage device. Customers also receive a free “Hear it now, play it later CD” including demos of gaming tricks that the original Play Station was capable of.
There are many discounted games that Play Station fans may choose from, if we were to judge from the official list that was published on the company’s official blog. The collection of 100 titles includes games that work with PS4, PS3, PSP and PS Vita, the official announcement read.
These will be available for sale with a 70 percent discount, Play Station representatives have further stated. Yet, PS Plus members will benefit of additional advantages. They can purchase all these games with an 80 percent discount.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and the Undead Collection are just some of the games that Play Station is offering for less money for their 20th anniversary. Players can also choose from classic titles, such as, Tomb Raider, Gold Medalist, P.O.W. Prisoners of War, Touchdown Fever and the Bermuda Triangle.
Spokespersons have invited players to access the company’s official website if they want to know all the titles in the list. However, the best solution will be to search through the shelves of PS stores.
