Nobody is complaining that two of the most popular classic games in the history of gaming are getting new features and maps, but you got to stop and wonder if these fresh patches are somehow related to the upcoming Warcraft motion picture.
Judging from the trailer that you can check out below, the movie is focused on an alliance between orcs and humans. Neither is pleased with the situation, but the impending threat of, well the trailer doesn’t say, but it might be the Burning Legion.
Judging from the teaser, the action of the movie is based on the events that happen in the third installment of the Warcraft franchise. In a video that is primarily aimed towards the Warcraft gamers in China, Blizzard’s head of classic games, Robert Bridenbecker announced the new 1.27 patch that will be soon available for players worldwide. As you can see in the video embedded below, Bridenbecker took his time to give his thanks to the ever-growing Warcraft III community and tease the fans by saying that the patch is “only our first stop”.
Does this mean that they are working on a new Warcraft game? Or that they will surprise the fans with a DLC soon? Players can only guess what the next stop will be, but if Blizzard is involved, it will certainly be something very exciting.
The 1.27 patch will be released worldwide on the 15th of March. The last update that the game received was in March 2011. The update announcement came just a couple of days after Blizzard patched up Diablo II. The epic role-playing game was lacking new features since its last update in 2011.
