Windows 10 Creators Update – What Should We Expect? • Mirror Daily

Windows 10 Creators Update will start rolling out starting on the 11th of April, according to Microsoft.

As you might know, on the 11th of April 2014 (that’s today!), Microsoft is launching the Windows 10 Creators Update, considered to be one of the OS’s major overhauls since the Anniversary Update, which debuted back in August 2017.  Now, the question on everyone’s lips is probably what should be expected from Microsoft’s Windows 10 Creators Update?

Well, we’ve come a long way since the launch of the first version of Windows (20th of November 1985). Nowadays operating systems are all about making the user more productive and feel safer from outside threats.

Windows 10 Creators Update Paint 3D

As we’ve come to understand, Microsoft’s Windows 10 Creators Update is focused on 3D, security, and integration. Probably one of the most anticipated features of Creators Update is the new generation of Paint, entitled Paint 3D.

According to the tech company, Paint 3D will allow the user to create, design, and manipulate objects in 3D. In fact, this is as close to VR as you can get without actually having to buy a VR or AR device such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or HoloLens. We can only say that it’s a giant leap for Paint, broadly considered to more suitable for doodling than for actual drawing.

Another one of Windows 10 Creators Update’s upcoming features is Nightlight. Remember all those studies which said something about the circadian rhythm being affected by devices which emit blue light? Well, this nifty Windows 10 addition is designed to balance the emissions of blue light, depending on the time of the day.

Cortana Overhaul

As Microsoft declared, Cortana is also on the improved applications list. More specifically, with Window 10 Creators Update, Cortana will be able to handle even more voice commands and, even better, she will be able to hear even if you are in the other corner of the room.

Improved Security with the Dynamic Lock Feature

In terms of better security, Windows 10 Creators Update will deliver the Dynamic Lock feature. What does it do? According to Microsoft, your computer can detect and pair with any Bluetooth-compatible smartphones to keep them safe while you are away.

Another feature we are looking forward to experimenting with is Windows’ expanded theme gallery. Although the current theme gallery is something barren, according to Microsoft, the new version of Windows 10 will add even more themes and customization options.

Now, as expected, Windows 10 Creators Update will be free just like the other versions of Windows 10, and it should roll out starting this week.
